UMPIRE CODE OF CONDUCT

· I will make calls clearly and loudly

· I will be on time and attend all scheduled games

· I will be respectful of managers, coaches, players, all working personnel, parents, fans and volunteers

· I will be as fair and neutral as possible

· I will announce and be responsible for game time monitoring

· I will discuss calls with managers/coaches when asked respectfully

· I will not allow personal relationships or past experiences influence game calls

· I will be consistent when ejecting managers/coaches for rules violations

· I will maintain professional appearance (hats, shirts tucked)

· I will not discuss players, managers or coaches with any individual other than BYB/S Board members

· I will not use foul or abusive language

· I will hustle throughout their game

· I will know and be familiar with all rules relating to all levels of BYB/S

· I will enforce all rules as written by BYB/S

· I will report any player, manager, coach, parent or fan misconduct to BYB/S

· I will maintain all issued equipment in condition received

· I will be offered all in-house Travel games on a first come, first served basis

· I will expect full support from BYB/S

· I will not wear sunglasses while umpiring

· All complaints will be reviewed by umpire committee within 5 days

· Umpires will be reviewed/evaluated throughout the season

If an Umpire cannot attend a scheduled game:

· Find a replacement

· Call and email the BYB/S Umpire supervisors with any schedule changes

· Failure to properly notify the Umpire supervisors will result in the following:

· First Incident... Warning

· Second Incident… Next game will be umpired free of charge

· Third Incident… No games for the remainder of the season
