What are my choices for 2013? NEW!!

Baseball and Softball Options in 2013

What is the best fit for your player and your family in 2013?

We have several options and suggest you assess your goals for the year. All programs stress fun and development but the cost of each program reflects the level of commitment from a three month House League experience to a 9 month full time travel commitment.

There is something for everyone at Barrington Youth Baseball & Softball. What is the best fit for you?

Assess your goals as a family as well as your players ability and commitment to the game.   We want to ensure that players develop a passion for the game and want to enjoy their spring and summer on the field. For many families, the House program is a perfect fit.  Others are seeking even more development and look at a full time or part time travel experience.

House Baseball and Softball

Ages 5 to 17

Play 18 to 20 games with friends and classmates. 4 to 6 preseason practices with practices during the season as determined by the manager.

Divisions from 3rd grade and up have a double elimination playoff to crown a champion for the 2012 season.

Each division also has an end of season All Star game where managers select 2 or 3 players from each team to play in one game at the end of the House Season.

House Baseball and Softball fees range from $195 to $269

Mustangs

NEW in 2013 the Mustangs program will be available for all baseball and softball divisions from u9 through u14.  Team formation is subject to sufficient player interest.

Mustangs is an all-star program that provides an introduction to what a full time travel experience entails while still participating in the House program.  Mustangs also provides the advanced house players with additional opportunities for development with more practice time and instruction.

Players will tryout for all Mustangs Divisions in late April.

Interested players in the Mustangs program will register online for tryouts beginning in late January.  The actual tryouts take place in April.

All players who register for the tryouts will be invited to four indoor spring training sessions that will include professional instruction as these players prepare for the upcoming House season and Mustangs tryouts.  These session will take place in February and March.

Mustangs players still register for the 2013 House Season and participate on a House team during the spring.   In the spring, the Mustangs practice once a week on dates that do not conflict with their House Schedule. At the end of the House season, these Mustangs teams will play in 3 to 4 July tournaments.

Mustangs fees range from $300 to $500 depending on the number of tournaments entered and number of winter training sessions.  Mustangs fees cover all additional training, uniforms, tournament entries, etc.  Mustang players also participate in the House League and pay the House Registration fee.

BYB&S is excited to announce a relationship with Professional Baseball Instruction of Illinois (PBI) and will be utilizing the new PBI headquarters in Lake Barrington for the majority of our training needs.  This renewed relationship will assist the community in providing a more unified approach in providing a great baseball and softball experience for players and families.

Players have a number of options within BYB&S to find the best fit for their needs and skill level. These options range from competitive Full Time Travel, to part-time travel and House League & All Star options.  Visit our website as all options are described on the homepage.

In addition to the PBI instructors, Barrington Travel teams also work closely with the Barrington High School program with player and coach training options for baseball and softball.
